Automation can be very helpful. Just to mention some of its benefits; it decreases human errors and time spent on mundane tasks, moreover, it increases predictability, quality, and customer satisfaction.

Though it has its undeniable strengths, it can not and should not be used in all situations. Successful process automation requires a lot from the process itself. For example, the process should be repetitive, standardized and rule based, amongst other things. But the good news is that one can affect in many of the “requirements” by adjusting the process.
